While one of their primary tasks is to sell tickets, other responsibilities include greeting passengers, making sure each reservation is valid, providing information
about flights, and helping passengers as they are boarding a plane. They may also help passengers check their baggage and choose or upgrade their seats.
Duties of Ticketing Agent:
- Taking reservations over the phone or via computer from prospective customers.
- Explaining the rules of the aircraft to passengers who are boarding the plane or have been bumped from their flight.
- Selling airfare packages such as vacation packages or car rentals.
- Explaining different fare classes and their prices, including taxes and fees.
- Processing refunds, requests for transfers, or other ticket changes.
- Explaining travel rules and regulations to customers, including baggage fees, security screenings, and visa requirements.
- Keeping track of flight schedules, cancellations, and delays to ensure that customers are notified of any changes to their itineraries.
Skills Required for Ticketing Agent :
- Candidates are required to demonstrate a basic knowledge of computers and good typing skills.
- Good Communication skills in both languages English & Hindi.
