Job Role
A Cargo Agent is responsible for coordinating and facilitating the efficient transportation of goods via air, sea, or land. They play a key role in ensuring cargo is handled correctly, meets regulatory requirements, and reaches its destination safely and on time.
Responsibilities
- Receive, label, and prepare cargo for shipping.
- Prepare and process shipping documents such as air waybills, bills of lading, and customs declarations.
- Communicate with customers regarding shipment status, delivery timelines, and delays.
- Resolve issues such as misplaced cargo, delays, or customer complaints.
- Coordinate with airlines, freight forwarders, and ground staff to arrange cargo transport.
Requirement
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Willingness to work in varying weather conditions and shifts ,including nights and weekends.
- Coordinate effectively with teams and provide clear updates to customers.
- Provide professional and courteous service to clients.
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
